One day at a time

Jason just returned from radiology following an anterior / posterior x-ray. This as well as the CT scan this morning are to confirm the placement of the "hardware" in his back. Just waiting to hear results of those tests.
Pain control continues to be the biggest challenge and can be frustrating at times. We are looking forward to a possible transfer tomorrow to the MTU (multi trauma unit). We have been told that the nurses are excellent in the area of spinal injuries. Physical therapy and occupational therapy were not able to come today. We are looking for them to be in tomorrow.
Jason and I continue to feel very blessed by all of your support.

Hi Jason,

I am sorry to hear that pain control is causing some issues. It was my biggest problem with recovery after my surgery as well. Hang in there - I know that everyone is different, but things for me got MUCH better two days after surgery. I am sure that every day things will get a little better. Rebekah - let me know if there is anything we can do.

Take care,
Matt Smoldt

We are so pleased to see that Jason is recovering. We praise the Lord for his protection over Jason throughout this entire ordeal. Rebekah, please continue to lean on both the Lord and your church family--that is one way the Lord will bring comfort and peace to you during this difficult time.

We continue to lift up Jason, you and the family in prayer.

Jason & Rebekah: We certainly wish that this had not come into your lives... but also see how God is walking with you through it. It's amazing how we can give you all strong prayer support while we are up enjoying the grandeur in the Tetons! Karyn is praying in town, and Laura has her Rochester group praying as well. We love you, and look forward to seeing you next week when we return. Rebekah, Debbie, and Adrienne we are SO thankful for this website where we can get current updates! THANK YOU! (You are also on our prayer support Sherry -- and look forward to giving you a hug soon)
